Not to brag but when you begin to count top countries that drop lit movies like their lives depends on it, please do include India because damn this movie is blazing forget all those ones you see online o lol scene 1 action scene 2 dancing n jumping like cats everywhere. There are really really interesting ones amidst the dancing kinda movies we see everywhere.
Heads up: If you're going to see this movie please watch it with someone that thinks like you, cos this film really played with my mind and that of my friends, to conclude ehn its not for the weak abeg lol.
So the movie Badla is about a powerful and successful businesswoman (Naina) who has an affair with her lover (Arjun). Altough she's married and also has a child, her affair was unknown to her husband until she met with a bad fortune when her lover was murdered in the same hotel room they were, this event turned her world upside and also ruined her career.
Now naina is confined in her apartment until she's summoned once more to the court, although in order to get the case off her neck she hired a lawyer (Jimmy) a friend of hers who then introduced someone to her that is fit for the job.
On D-day Naina met Mr Gupta earlier than the appointed time but then it was less suspicious because both parties can meet each other either earlier or late. She got talking with Mr Gupta, who then asked her for only the truth and she narrated what 'we' thought was the truth. But then again he wasn't convinced, if you've seen this movie you'd see that Mr Gupta definitely wants to hear just one statement from her either to implicate her or set her free but Naina also being a smart lady isn't ready to just spill the beans. So they keep going in circles, making theories, analyses and also creating different scenarios in people's head and minds. According to Naina on the day she was to meet up with her family and kiss her secret affair goodbye, they met with a little accident with a deer jumping out of the forest to the road whereby colliding with another car. getting off from their car to go check on the other rider on getting there they found a teenage boy dead, Naina attempted to call the police immediately but Arjun convinced her it wasn't their fault and moreover he was on his phone while driving. A passerby saw them and decided to help out but they told him they were alright, Naina took the boy's car to drown it while Arjun was trying to fix Naina's car because it refused to start. There he met two couples that offered to help him fix it, he followed them to their house on getting there Rani (the boy's mother) tried calling their son who is yet to return home, the cellphone rang in Arjun's pocket but he lied he sat on it. After a while Arjun left and met up with Naina. This short scene was all narrated by Naina meaning she tries to shift the attention on Arjun her late Lover. But then again Mr Gupta said if the missing boy was to be linked to her case then that's double trouble for her so he needs her to tell him everything she knows. She confessed the missing boy was the one hit when they almost knocked out a deer but even after all they did to cover that crime and to live a normal life a blackmailer arose, who then demanded for some amount of money or their secret would be out in the open. So a date was fixed for them to meet, Arjun and Naina arrived at the hotel picked, they waited for the blackmailer while waiting Arjun was murdered and Naina was injured, when the police came in she was the only one in the room making her a suspect.
Which takes us to the reason why she's having this talk with Mr Gupta, he believed some of the stories but then again he seems like an expert in this field as he keeps on insisting she tells him the whole truth, it was right there she said the young boy found in the car was still breathing before she drown the car in the swamps and then she killed Arjun afterwards. Well I know from here it's beginning to make sense why she killed Arjun, Arjun was the weak one not her, Arjun was the one that tried calling the police not her, Arjun sent her a text that he would tell the boy's parents the truth about their missing child and how he died. In other not to leave any traces behind she killed him, injured herself in other to make it look like there was someone else in the room with them.
After all that Mr Gupta rose up to leave, briefly after he left someone knocked at her door and when she asked who he was it turns out he is the real Mr Gupta while the first man that came him was a disguise. Then it all started making sense to her that someone else had used the identity of Mr Gupta to get information from her, that could either be used against or for her. She looked right through her window and on the other side was Rani(the boy's mother) and the acclaimed Mr Gupta pulling off his mask now(the boy's father) mad mad mad oh. All this while everything she had told him was recorded and with the police on their way to arrest her of murder, it all happened so fast.
Mehn I hate to stop as there's more to write on but you have to put on a shoe first to know if it fits perfectly well, so I urge y'all to see this movie. Most especially if you're a lover of crime scene movies I bet this wouldn't be difficult to understand. Do enjoy ❤️
