“Blue Story” depicts actual gangs in Peckham, a southern borough of London that has been torn apart by gang violence, and incorporates some elements of Rapman’s young life in Deptford. The terrorism starts simply with Timmy falling in love, and Marco getting pulled deeper into a gang by his violent older brother. As Timmy becomes more compassionate, Marco goes in the other direction, and it leads to inevitable tragedy, which then completely shifts the back half of the film into a story of vengeance and, most of all, cycles of violence and trauma struggle and enmity.
Movie Review
To me Blue Story is a true life story especially in the area occupied mainly by blacks with or without both parents to raise them. In that kind of neighborhood you can see love, hatred, struggle, family issue, school life etc. The real struggle all started when Marco started taking side of his crippled brother that was once a gang leader in their society and on the part of Timmy he was the calm headed and timid boy, all he wanted was peace to reign and have his best friend back but to no avail.
One thing led to another and Timmy had to join the opposing gang, if y'all are familiar with Black American or ghetto movies you'd know that in every society there's always a two side team or groups fighting against each other for one reason or another. The disagreement between them led to their separation and strong hatred for one another but a popular adage says 'where two elephants struggle or fight it is the grass beneath them that suffers for it'. Timmy's gf (Leah) was murdered right in front of him, it was a terrible sight lol cos even me wey dey form hard girl hard girl sef atimes cried because of that particular scene. Leah was such a sweet, adorable, innocent and pretty lady but her journey in life was cut short.
Every day by day both teams show off their strength and power with no particular cause, the part I look forward to was where a particular guy (Rapman) keeps summarizing what transpired in each scene and then turns it to a song, more like melodrama.
At the end of this movie I think it is safe to say violence resolves nothing but actually triggers more chaos. Timmy choked to death in a burning car set ablaze by Marco, but at that moment there was a short transmission where he remembered when their friendship was still in intact and how happy they were for a sec there was an act of forgiveness in Marco but then again he remembered that Timmy was the cause of his brother state. So he left the scene eventually Marco was arrested by the cops, Marco's brother poisoned himself because he was helpless and also paralyzed, one of the gang that supported Timmy (Killy Killy) became a tutor...
See Make i no lie ehn I didn't like how it ended at all at all but I guess nothing last forever after all, both of them tasted what having power feels like but they forget the sacrifices they and their loved ones would pay for it, let me just say 'they were young and dumb' .
